Paros
Paros island is located at Cyclades and it is one of the most famous islands in Greece. Paros is a must-visit destination, since it combines not only the cosmopolitan life with the late-night fun, but also the excellent food with the beautiful sandy beach and their crystal clear waters. The romantic island with the picturesque villages, the white-washed houses around the paved pathways, in a pretty contrast with the summer bougainvillea and the small white chapels.
Every year the cosmopolitan Paros attracts thousands of travelers, as it is an ideal island for romantic and at the same time energetic vacation. Paros is known for the dozens of sports it offers, like the famous kite surf, but also the delicious food. Paroikia and Naousa are the two regions that combine entertainment, shops and an exceptional cuisine for all the preferences. As well as these regions, there is one more that worth a visit, named Alyki and here many taverns offer seafood and fresh fish next to the sea.
If you have enough free days, except from Paros, the island of Antiparos worth a short excursion. The access to Antiparos is made from the two ports of Paroikia and Pounta and there is connection with regular ferry routes. Some of the nearby islands are Naxos, Koufonisia and Donousa. There are also ferry routes for some Dodecanese islands and Crete (Heraklion).
